project from 2nd semester of year three "Graphic design&Advertising" Dept

Design Brief : we were given the task of developing a visual identity
of Alexandria city. the result meets the universal design requirements,
so the solution should be aims for simplification, flexibility and clearity.

Design Chalange : The large number of cultures available in the city,
which makes mixing those trends, whether Greeks, ancient Egyptians,
or other cultures rich in different identities, also the lack of appropriate
fonts suitable for identity, which directed us towards designing new fonts
suitable for identity.

Requirements : Preserving the identity achieved and preserved for everyone,
developing typographical fonts. We have made many formal attempts to treat
and analyze the distinctive shapes of the city, which are the lighthouse,
the movement of waves to the seashore, the shape of boats, as well as some
other buildings. Which ultimately led to the choice of engineering treatment for
the final logo. improvements The old identity of the city emblem was taken into
account from the shape of the lighthouse while developing its structure and
improving the spaces and spaces to be better adaptable to miniature and other prints.

Inspiration : The primary colors were inspired by the general attraction
of tourism in Alexandria, which is the sea and beach sand, and then
the secondary colors were inspired by the tourist attractions such as
the Stanley bridge and others, where each color suits a different area
and a specific and precise goal.
